Annika Herlitz has been working as a musical theatre actress ever since she graduated from the 3-year long musical theatre education at Balettakademien (“Ballett academy”) in Gothenburg 2008.
She instantly got the part as Sharpay in High School Musical – live on stage on Nöjesteatern in Malmö. A role that got her nominated for Best supporting female character on the swedish theatre award gala called Guldmasken.
After one season High School Musical moved to Göta Lejon in Stockholm, where Annika also got the part as Maria Elena in The Buddy Holly musical – thus acting in two shows at Göta Lejon at the same time.
Since then Annika has been in musicals such as Grease, Legally Blonde, Romeo & Juliett the musical, Jesus Christ Superstar and most recently Priscilla – Queen of the desert.
Annika has also acted in some educational films and can be heard as the swedish voice of Elsa, the snow queen, in Disney’s Frozen (“Frost” in swedish).
